Two Ways to Live
For the last few Sunday nights, Jenn and I (along with a small group of around 5 other couples) have been listening to a couple of Australian guys talk. No, we're not learning to play rugby or setting off on an adventure into the outback. It's all part of the evangelism training program our church is doing right now to practically equip our congregation to be able to effectively share the Gospel with those they know. The material we're using is called "Two Ways to Live", and if you haven't ever seen it, I highly recommend it. (You can see it on this website.) It was developed by a couple of Australian guys, and through our pastor, it's made its way to our church in Lindale.
Overall, I really like the way the message is shown using Two Ways to Live. The diagrams and verses used are really well thought out. Don't get me wrong, I still love the staple Campus Crusade 4 Spiritual Laws Knowing God Personally booklet, but I do think that Two Ways to Live could come in very useful on campus. It's another tool in the evangelism toolbox for Jenn and me. I can't wait to finish up the training and get out there with it on campus. I'll probably try it at UT Tyler or TJC here soon...be praying that God will set up the divine appointments with those who need to hear about Christ!
An interesting side note...Have you ever heard the Gospel presented in an Australian accent using the words ogre, bloke, and shove-off? Yeah you guessed it...the videos have been fun to watch in the class...
