Surprise Surprise...
There is nothing better than totally surprising a loved one. Two days ago, Jennifer and I had that opportunity...
Support raising in the South has slowed for us the last few weeks. Even with the last few busy weekends we've had speaking to different groups, it has still slowed significantly from what we were hoping for after returning from Colorado. Quite simply, we're running out of people to talk to there. So, Jenn and I started looking back north to see what opportunities God might have in store for us in continuing to get to 100%. We didn't have to look too far. He had already lined up at least one church for us to speak at with the possibility of quite a few more in the works. After thinking it through and praying about it, we decided it was best to head north once again. On Monday morning we hopped in our car, seat belted in, and set off across West Texas towards Montana.
Now to put this in perspective, it's been roughly nine and a half months since I've seen my family. I think its the longest we've been apart. The last few months, they have moved from gently dropping hints that they miss us on the phone to outright declarations of how much they miss us. Needless to say, we didn't tell them we were coming...
Tuesday night, Jenn and I pulled into the driveway. As we quietly made our way to the front door and rang the door bell, I heard my dad making his way to the door. All of the sudden we both heard, "WHAT?!?! JAISEN'S HERE!" With that, the door flung open and a plethora of hugs ensued. Their smiles were soooo huge!!! I love it when surprises work out as planned...
So now we are in Forsyth, MT for the next few weeks. It will be good to catch up with my family as well as see what God has in store for us here in the town for support. We raised some support here last October, but it doesn't seem like God is finished here yet. I'm eager to see what He does!
So please keep us in your prayers these next few weeks as we are in the north. We want to get to campus soon and are hoping that God will use this trip to finish out a big chunk (if not all) of the support we have left to raise. Thank you so much for all of your prayers!!!
