Drinking Vanuatu Coffee in Rosebud, MT...

Last night, I did something I never imagined would happen. I sat and drank Vanuatu coffee just outside of the small town of Rosebud, MT. It's not everyday that you drink South Pacific island coffee in the ranch lands of Eastern Montana. How does something like this happen you might ask? God's orchestration. Let me fill you in on the details :-)

On Sunday, Jennifer and I attended my hometown church in Forsyth...Grace Bible Church. Walking in the doors, we surprised a lot of people who didn't know we were in town. However, the biggest surprise was reserved for us. As we got to talking and catching up with everyone, we found out that a young couple in the church had just recently felt the Lord's calling to head into foreign missions. They were in the process of preparing to head to the islands of Vanuatu to do ministry.

Now there's a certain bond I think that forms between missionaries. Jenn and I wanted to hear more of their story (we always get excited hearing about God's callings and how He's working...I think it's one of the perks of our job...). So we called up the young couple, and the next thing we knew, we were sitting in their home last night drinking Vanuatu coffee and sharing with each other the incredible adventures God has us both traveling. It was a pretty amazing time of hearing their hearts for the people of Vanuatu and sharing our hearts for students at the U of Idaho.

It's exciting having another missionary couple coming out of Grace Bible Church. The Lord is definitely at work in the roughly 60 people congregation. Two missionary couples sent out in two years...that's pretty much unheard of in our small town. I'm excited to see what God has in store in the years to come with the church and what happens in Idaho and Vanuatu. God's plans are pretty amazing!!!
