Spud Fixin'

For the last week, the Pester household has become a culinary potato laboratory. Yes, with a move to Idaho hopefully sometime in the near future, we decided it was time for us to learn the ways of the infamous spud.
Ironically enough (or maybe even a little prophetically), Jennifer and I received a french fry potato slicer as a wedding gift last May. I was a little skeptical of it at first, but let me tell you...it gets the job done!

Peeling, slicing, oiling, spicing, and baking...together, Jenn and I make quite a mean-french-frying-making machine!

Now we are to the experimenting stage. We've ransacked the spice rack and the rest of the kitchen looking for the perfect ingredients for our culinary masterpiece. Let's add some shredded cheese...how about some montreal steak seasoning to kick it up a notch?...oh the posibilities...

Surprisingly enough, the fries turn out edible and actually not that bad. They tend to make a good snack on a rainy day. I would have never have guessed last May that a potato slicer could entertain us so much...

Oh the things we do to alleviate the stress of raising support...
