Hearing A Heartbeat

We had a doctor's appointment yesterday for our baby. Everything is going healthy and normal. We're 13 and a half weeks along now...welcome to the second trimester. Hurray!

The coolest part of visiting the doctor though was getting to hear our little one's heartbeat for the first time. It sounded kind of swishy at first, but after the doc found a good position with the high-tech stethoscope thingy, we got to hear the steady fast beating for a few moments. It was a pretty cool experience!

I think our doctor may have nicknamed our kid "Wiggly" though. Every time he would get a solid spot for checking the heartbeat, our little one would move around on him. I guess our little one is finicky about going to the doctor. Hmm...I wonder who he/she gets that from???
