The Prophet: Amos

This morning, I finished up an amazing book that shows what it means to truly follow God in the midst of adversity. It's "The Prophet: Amos" by Francine Rivers. It's a short look into the life of the prophet Amos, a shepherd who was called by God to tell of the foreboding destruction of Israel and Judah because of their disobedience to the Lord. Challenging...you bet. The book definitely spoke to my heart on being obedient to the calling God places upon your life. It also has some amazing analogies of shepherding sheep vs. shepherding people. I highly recommend it if you want to be challenged in your walk with the Lord.
