New Life for a Student in Idaho
The following is from an email we received from Ralph Cooley, our campus director at the University of Idaho:
"Two weeks ago as I was walking into our office I saw one of the university's student government leaders. I had not met him before and so I just asked him in passing. “ I would like to meet with you sometime and get to know you." He said, “How about now?” So we met and as I began to ask about his spiritual journey he shared with me that he had just began really looking into what happens to a person after they die. He was in a very serious auto accident a week before and it woke him up to the fact he need to find out…
We started meeting once a week and each time we would meet he seemed more and more open to hearing the Gospel. God had not only brought me into his life but another believer to help guide him on this path our Savior. He became very aware that God was behind these “chance” meetings and his eyes, heart, and ears were open to God’s voice.
Just four hours ago as I met with him for the third time we talked about eternal life, faith, mercy, grace, and repentance. As we came to the end of our time together I asked him if he was ready to put his trust in Jesus as his Savor and Lord. I shared with him he could come to Christ right then or he could spend some time in prayer this evening and come into a relationship with Christ then.. He responded and said, “ I would like to pray now and put my faith in Christ. Would you pray with me?” And I said, “Yes, let pray”. And right there out side the Commons at the University of Idaho, Jesus saved a young man and I think a future leader in our state and our world."
God is at work in Idaho :-)
