A Tough but Great Dilemma
Jennifer and I have had a lot of questions lately about how our support raising is progressing for our ministry. So far, we have seen God provide for us with a handful of ministry partners. It has been so encouraging to meet with people and share the ministry God has laid upon our hearts for college students and to hear stories of how He is moving in the lives of others.
But, Jennifer and I have run into a small but awesome problem. There are too many missionaries in our Texas area! It is an awesome fact, especially when you think of how the Kingdom of God is influenced by their servant hearts in reaching the world for Christ, but it tends to make our current job a little bit tougher right now. There are many missions organizations in the Lindale area. There is a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Base, TeenMania, Mercyships, not to mention numerous churches for individuals to support missions work. This truly is the "Bible Belt" of the nation. Almost every person we talk with is already supporting at least one if not more missionaries!
I am so excited that God's work is being done through the faithful support of the community here, but at times it is frustrating knowing the support goals Jennifer and I have to reach before we can report to the University of Idaho for ministry. At the same time though, I know our God is faithful and that since He has called us to do His work, He will provide for us! He already has the funds raised. We just have to discover who it is that He has called to become part of our ministry team.
