Getting to Know the Post Office

I think I have found a new home over the last couple of weeks...the post office on South Broadway Street. Between all of the wedding thank-yous and support letters Jennifer and I have sent out these last two weeks, I think the postal workers are beginning to know us on a first name basis.

Quite possibly the coolest feature though of these frequent trips has been using the Automated Postal Machine. It quite possibly has been the highlight of our postal experience. No more waiting in lines. You want some stamps...go to the huge blue super computer machine and...BAM!...stamps magically appear! You get a strange hankering for sending something huge to Timbuktu or some far off place...go to the super machine and...BAM!...it prints out stickers for your boxes. How cool is that? It even takes debit cards...I'm liking this!

I know, by know you are probably thinking we are nuts, but you have to realize after addressing as many envelopes as we have the past two weeks, you would think the machine is really cool too. And yes, I have never seen one of these in Montana. Ah, the simple joys in life...
